Divya Vellanki is an Application Developer working with the Digital Enterprise Integration Team at VMware for the past 6 years. She has an education in Computer Science and a background loaded with providing technical stewardship for integrating Cloud, SaaS Applications and deriving SaaS-specific analytics using Machine Learning. She believes there is always something to learn and do things in a new way. She is passionate about bringing more women into technology and extensively works on various initiatives in the space of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We were happy to speak with her during this episode.

She goes into her own story from college graduation and into the field. It is shared how her motivation moved from competition and doing your best work to so much more. She takes motivation from her mom who was a teacher and learned how sharing your success and failure is key.

She encourages women in tech to not lose focus, but also don’t be afraid to share your experience more widely. Don’t miss her very cool story of how engaging with Diversity and Inclusion helped change her mindset. She is a great example of how the power of one woman can inspire so many more.
